Strategic Plan

Our first priority is to develop a Strategic Plan based on the feedback gathered at the retreat. The Strategic Plan will assist in our efforts to attract funding and guide the activities of individual work groups.

Funding

Simultaneous to the development of a Strategic Plan, our Visionary Team will be reaching out to some of you who indicated an interest in serving on the Funding Committee and/or who offered potential donors for us to contact.

As you know, in order to professionally and expeditiously move forward an effort of this magnitude, it will require us to secure venture capital funding and/or identify “angel funders” who will invest in our planning, strategic development, and community engagement work.

Community Gathering

It is our goal to host another community gathering in the next few months that will reaffirm our vision; share the Strategic Plan and gather your feedback on it; and allow time for each Work Group to convene briefly.

As a reminder, the following Work Groups were established at the retreat:

  • Funding Work Group – Responsible for brainstorming, identifying, soliciting and/or contributing financial resources to move the CFE idea forward.
  • Business/Organization Model Work Group – Responsible for determining the organizational structure for the Center for Excellence in the short-term and long-term.
  • Marketing/Communications Work Group – Responsible for internal and external communications, serving as ambassadors of the CFE, and developing marketing materials for potential funders, community leaders and interested parties.
  • Needs Assessment/Research Work Group – Responsible for identifying leadership development, training and other needs of the local nonprofit sector.
