Overall Model
In first of the day's two final sessions, standing before the group and reviewing each of the model consolidations on display at the front of the room, facilitators Brian Audia and Tom McGehee drew the group into an overall model—a culmination of the themes common to each of the report templates.

Reviewing the template (above), the common themes of the overall model are:
- Hybrid/Combination of Virtual vs Physical, potentially Extensions of the Center
- More Study/Assessment
- Limited Scope (1st-yr), don’t try to do it all at once; Phased approach
- Identification of current, leverageable resources
- Broad & deep community involvement from day one
- Focus on leadership development services/training & connecting
- Center as a Leader to lead non-profits...a convener...a ‘bringing together’ organization
- Identify ‘who are we’ as a group from the bottom, up
- Human Approach: don’t develop an organization without knowing each other; must develop relationships with one another; importance of multiple stakeholders
- Open to everyone
- Not a community service provider
Arriving at the day's final consolidated model, Brian and Tom moved the group toward the final business of the day—developing the
buckets of work—by asking:
'What are the core needs to move this model into reality?'
